20 Million Cacti.
Zero Petroleum Plastics.

We are partnering with world-class creators, innovators, and visionaries to mass-produce Dr. Sandra Pascoe Ortiz’s non-toxic, completely edible Nopal cactus bioplastic. It’s time to rewrite global manufacturing constraints.

The Brain Behind the Breakthrough

Dr. Sandra Pascoe Ortiz — UNIVA

Dr. Sandra Pascoe Ortiz discovered that the natural sugars, gums, and chemical compounds inside the leaves of the Nopal cactus (*Opuntia megacantha*) form robust, reliable biopolymers. The resulting material looks, feels, and operates like plastic, but completely biodegrades within a month in soil, and in just a few days in water.

It is entirely non-toxic, safe if ingested by marine life, and completely carbon-neutral. Cactus Crew is building the bridge to take this asset out of individual research laboratories and scale it directly into global markets.
